What is an RMP?
A Regional Marketing Program (RMP) is a non-membership marketing partnership comprised of one or more chamber of commerce, individuals and organizations within a specific geographic region. RMPs apply annually for State grant funds to market their regions.

Historically administered by the Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing (VDTM), RMPs began applying for funds annually through the Agency of Administration in FY 2006 (July 1, 2005 - June 30, 2006). The purpose of the funding is to: (1) coordinate and consolidate multiple, often overlapping marketing efforts within a region into one cohesive campaign aimed at attracting more visitors to the region and (2) offer marketing opportunities to businesses in a region regardless of membership with any organization. There are 11 RMPs throughout the state that are geographically consistent with the state's Regional Planning Commissions (RPCs) and Regional Development Corporations (RDCs).

For more information about which RMP serves your region and/or how it is marketing your region, contact (802) 828-3333.
