Press Information

The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) produces and distributes press releases promoting Vermont to local, regional and national media. Recent releases are online at VermontPressRoom.com.

Releases and press kits are also sent from VDTM to writers and editors, upon request. VDTM responds to various queries from writers and editors on topics in which the media person has expressed interest, and in coordination with marketing partners.

You can download a Vermont Press List to jump start your promotional efforts. The list is available in both MS Excel format or as a comma delimited file that should import into most spreadsheet or database programs.

Events Calendar

The main source for events information sent by the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) to writers and editors is the Vermont Travel Planner Events database. Be sure your events are added to the statewide database by clicking here. Releases submitted to VDTM by the tourism industry are also used as resources for story ideas.

Educational Workshops

The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) hosts public relations workshops at the Vermont Travel Industry Conference. The department has also co-sponsored Vermont writers' events and in-market media functions.
