Direct Mail


Direct Mail 2005
The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) printed three direct mail postcards to promote statewide events. This spring, direct mail postcards were sent to 50,000 targeted households to promote Open Studio Weekend and Maple Open House Weekend. This summer, 50,000 direct mail postcards was mailed, promoting agricultural fairs across the state.

Direct Mail 2003-2004
Last year the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) printed three direct mail postcards featuring Open Studio Weekend, Maple Open House Weekend and promotion of a B&B stay with a free Christmas tree. VDTM will again use targeted, direct mail lists when selecting appropriate households to receive the postcards. Our focus is key drive/fly markets including Boston, Hartford and New York.

Direct Mail 2003
The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) printed a series of five direct mail postcards in January 2003. Each postcard was mailed to a specific address provided by a company specializing in targeted mailings. The creative for the five postcards included ice fishing, Open Studio Weekend, Maple Open House, spring/summer outdoor recreation and winter recreation. Mailings were sent to households in cities the department advertises, including Boston, New York, and Hartford.
